Keep Oconee Beautiful Association Joins Keep America Beautiful

Keep Oconee Beautiful Association (KOBA) recently completed its affiliation with Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and Palmetto Pride / Keep South Carolina Beautiful.

Joining forces with these organizations provides access to additional information, resources and opportunities for KOBA to enhance their anti-litter and recycling efforts in the County. This follows a proclamation issued by County Council supporting KOBA in its twenty year of improving the beauty of Oconee County and its teaming with other KAB and Palmetto Pride.

KOBA administers all Adopt-A-Highway programs in Oconee County on county and state roads. The Elementary Education volunteers make anti-litter and recycling presentations in elementary schools and conduct tours of our solid waste facilities. The annual Photo Contest captures the beauty of Oconee County. These and other programs are financed through membership dues, donations and grants.

Shown in the photograph receiving their KAB certificate are Board Members Nancy Soper, Marcia Banholzer, Line Haycraft, Veronda Holcombe Lewis, Jennie Stultz (KAB Associate), Phil Soper, Bev Sevick, Alice Wald and Lynn Holley
